Trip to McMinnville
Joanne and I took off for a couple days before she begins her new job on the 1st. We headed south to McMinnville, OR and stayed two nights at the Hotel Oregon, owned by McMenamin's. It was very much a do-nothing kind of vacation, though we found time to hit Powell's in Portland on the way down, and ended up trekking and driving around Oregon Wine Country a bit while we were there. McMinnvillle is a lovely little town and had more than enough to occupy us while we were there, and McMenamin's had more than enough liquor to keep us a little stupid the entire time. So the little shops downtown got us to part with a few more dollars than they should have, but we'll find a use for that second "Hippies Use Back Door" sign. The trip was well worth it.
